All being well, tonight’s “In the Cooler” will include…

  • Sue Townsend’s “Bazaar and Rummage” is being presented by BAD Company (Blockley Amateur Dramatic Company) in St George’s Hall, Blockley, from Thursday to Saturday, February 20th – 22nd.  Evening performances are at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm. So, expect some BAD Company in the studio!!
  • An arts event at Trinity House Broadway is taking place on Thursday 13th February….Stephen Shepherd tells us about the event and the art of Jeremy Houghton.
  • Paul D Curran has two poems for us..
  • Last night saw a performance of “Histoire du Tango”.. Eduardo Garcia(with David le Page – OOTS) tells us all we need to know….

Some new music, some sad goodbye’s….. ” I am Spartacus”.. and whatever else arises!!

  • Kevan Blackadder (I know what you’re thinking!!) tells about the launch of “Lighting Up Cheltenham” this weekend
  • Alastair Currill will be focussing light (sorry!!) on photography.. great things come out of Bourton On the Water!!
  • Hopefully we will have time for Max Mandel, a New York viola player telling us about the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, performing the odd concert in these parts..

In the studio…Greg Brice will be giving us a couple of LIVE sets…

Greg (from Shipston-on-Stour -is an unsigned acoustic blues musician originating from Gloucestershire. With influences ranging from early jazz players and more modern blues musicians, Greg has developed a unique style of writing and has put his own mark on many great blues standards.

Paul D Curran will read us a poem or two..


And we hear John Le Mesurier, Foggy, Cleggy,Compo, Steptoe.…or should that be Julian Dutton!? (Julian is in Cirencester on Saturday 18th January with his new show “Last of the Summer Wine..)


A look ahead to local events..plenty of new music, and a look at the latest inductees to the Rock n’Roll Hall of Fame..
